Honestly, all I can say is take a step back and think about who do you make YouTube videos for and why do you make YouTube videos. Are you making them to gain subscribers? Or are you doing it because you enjoy doing it and you want to help people who may not know much about makeup? Don't doubt yourself when it comes to your videos. Even the big youtubers had to start from somewhere. Just take a step back and really evaluate what you want from your video making and the biggest thing is to do it because YOU want to; not because of what can come from it.

Hi Jeanette.
I am also new to youtube and made a couple videos this summer but then realized I wasn't having fun with it. A couple months later I realized that it was because I was worrying too much about what people would want to see instead of just having fun with it and being myself. I recently deleted my videos from this summer and started fresh! YOU CAN DO IT!! Keep motivated <3

Hey there Jeanette C. I think the things that helped me the most were...
- Properly tagging my videos. That helps people actually find them. The more specific the better.
- Make sure you are heavily involved in many different makeup forums and use that as sort of a marketing tool for yourself.
- Tweet, and update your Facebook as much as possible with interesting blurbs. This helps draw people to your profile. Make sure you promote your videos efficiently via these avenues.
- Make videos because you love it, and have something to contribute, not because you want a ton a subbies. Subbies can sense if you are not authentically interested in your craft a mile away.
I hope this helps...xoxo- Maisha A.

I make videos, although not beauty videos. It's hard at first to get views, but don't think that it's because your videos are bad, it's probably just that people have a hard time finding videos. So, I decided to do a couple video responses on more popular youtubers' videos. Don't be a spammer, make sure the video your posting is related to the one this person made, but it's a good way to get your videos out there for people to find.
Maybe do something like a What's in my Purse, or a favorites video, or any other tag, and post it to a more popular video of the same thing. If people liked that video, they'll probably want to watch yours too.
