I went to go use my basecoat the other day and i couldn't unscrew the top!
There must have been some on the sides and it dried, now i can't open it!
Any tricks to getting it open?

maybe if you use one of those silicone grips like for opening jars you could then grip it hard enough to twist it open.

I usually run the bottle under HOT water (becareful here), and then use one of those gripper things to pry it open. It usually takes a few hot water runs. Good luck!

I do the same as Melissa! The hot water works for me every time!
But after you open it, I would remove the dried polish from around the sides. :)

Ditto for me on what Melissa said. Don't use a hairdryer on it since it will overheat the bottle which can potentially shatter the glass.

I agree with Melissa, Carly and Yasmin. I fill a bowl with hot water and let it sit for a few minutes or just run hot water over it. Then I will take a cotton ball with nail polish remover and wipe all the dried nail polish off (even under the cap handle with a Q-tip).

Run the nail polish bottle in hot water for a lil bit... or set it in a bow/cup of hot water (not boiling) then it should open. Once open, get any access dried nail polish from underneath cap.

There is actually a specific tool use to open stuck nail polish bottle! It's called CAP NINJA, and it works like a charm! It's available to purchase online and the website is: WWW.THECAPNINJA.COM.
