Has anyone tried this? It's only a dollar.. but I'm just curious as to if it works or not.

The ELF Zapper is Salicylic Acid based. Salicylic Acid is a natural exfoliator, so it gently brings up bacteria to the surface, dries it up & gets rid of it. That's how it treats acne.
That being said, the Zit Zapper only has 1% SA medication in it, which is good for every day use. It's gentle but can be effective for those with mild acne.

I personally would never use it because I have hormonal acne (severe when not under control) and Salicylic Acid does nothing to my skin. But if you have mild acne, maybe moderate during that-time-of-the-month, it could work. But I don't see it doing much to hormonal acne.

it works great for me. I rarely get acne and if i see one or feel one i just rub it on my skin and its done. Other sit zappers are more like clay and those just dry out my skin instead of getting rid of the bacteria. I LOVE this product :)

thanks for the feedback everyone <3

The only reason I ask is that I've never seen this product at target... so I'd have to buy it online.. and then there are shipping costs, etc etc.... I will be sure to check it out the next time I place an ELF order.

I use it and I think it's excellent for the price, then again I love anything with Salicylic Acid as it seems to be the only thing that makes my pimples disappear without over drying. I believe it also has other natural properties like Witch Hazel in it which is effective too.

I mean I have acne on and off... so I was kind of hoping to use it for that purpose, to spot treat...

I've never tried witchhazel directly to my face because I was scared it would be too strong for my skin.. but I'm sure it's like super minimal or diluted in the ELF thing.
