Embarrassing topic I know, but then again this is the internet and hair is just hair... there are worse things in the world. Due to having Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome and having a hairy father, I have quite a bit of facial hair, no I'm not talking about full blown mustaches or beards here, I have a bit of upper lip hair just like anyone else but it is more noticeable as the hair is quite dark, I have really thick eyebrows that grow really quickly (I used to shave them off and draw them on but I'm growing them back now).. I also have quite a bit of hair on the sides of my face. It's not TOO bad, you can't see it when my hair is sitting over it - it's not all that noticeable but I know it's there and it's annoying. I was just wondering what you guys do with excessive facial/body hair - do you shave, wax, thread, epilate ?? Tell me your secrets.

I go to the cosmetology school here and get mine waxed i have a lot of peach fuzz on the sides of my face and upper lip and i make sure the teacher is their the whole time and i actually know one of the teachers personally so i go when she is there and she makes sure im in good hands!! cheaper than going to salon and easier than having to do it myself!!!!

proffesionally done laser hair removal is always the best choice with situations like this, different places have different prices but, its worth the price! its different, it lasts long and will grow back like any other hair removing procedure of course but after about two or three uses depending on you your hair stops growing back and gets less noticeable. it IS a little less effective with people with dark hair but if your really looking for a solution its always worth the try. if you dont have the money at the moment you could always try threading if you havent yet, i think it lasts the longest out of everything.
+ you could apply hair growth inhibitators (most of which contain soy extracts which stop hair growth) to the areas where you grow hair while still using your normal hair removal procedures like waxing , threading, etc and you should start noticing in about two weeks that your hair doesnt grow as fast enough and not as much :)
thats all i got i hope i helped! <3

waxing is good, they have all different kinds so you can find one suitable for your skin type. It makes a huge difference, especially in the makeup application after you get your face waxed, your makeup lays down really really nice. We do a lot of waxing at my school. I haven't personally done anything besides the eyebrows and the upper lip, but seeing the difference in makes on other people.. I'd highly recommend. When I don't get waxed at school I have this shaving tool for facial hairs, and it also trims down your eyebrow hairs so they look (for lack of words here) tailored.

I bleach my upper lip hair with Jolen facial bleach, it doesn't remove the hair but definitely makes it less noticeable. It's easy to use and not too expensive.

i have the same poly ovarian syndrome (cystic ovaries). My chin area (where men grow beards) has sparse but dark strands of hair. I wax and tweeze in between. It is annoying because they won't go away. I am saving up for a series of laser hair removal. After several visits, hair should be non-existent and should not grow back. Of course this procedure isn't a one time deal, hair grows in cycles so they won't be able to zap the hair all at once.

I decided to go with laser hair removal. I am very light skin and i have sensitive skin with black coarse hair..waxing hurt and my pores would bleed and i would get horrible ingrown hairs. Threading is a good alternative but the hair still grows back..

I suggest laser hair removal, there are many places that you can do areas for as little as 100 per treatment. its worth every penny and it last forever..

waxing works great for me and for a lot of people, just give it a try before trying anything else. and if it works for you than move on to the more complex solutions

i think threading would be the best idea because when u thread ur hair when it grows back overtime it gets thinner and lighter and its also a good idea because like for myself im allergic to wax and threading is a great solution u should try it
