So I know you can't use music bc of copyright issues...but I do anyway, YT just sends me emails notifying me and nothing has changed on my channel or any of my vids just where to buy the song, so does this happen to you guys too? Anything else I should be aware of?

I've gotten emails about that before and then I change it because I don't want any more conflict and I don't want to take a change haha. I go through their list of music and use royalty free music. I think if you get too many notifications or copyright notices, they may freeze your account. That's what it said on one of my notices.

Katie - your best best is to avoid using copyrighted material if the company who owns the license to the copyrighted material complains against your video you can lose the entire account not worth it, you can find royalty free music online! :)

I agree with what Sara D. said. Try your best to avoid that. I guess for now we are all stuck using royalty free music.

Vimeo also has a music program you can use to license.
