I read a great review on Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder, I'm thinking of picking it up to try out myself. I've also heard good things about the non-mineral Maybelline Dream Matte Powder & Fit Me.

I use the ELF Mineral Foundation as a powder! It works really well. I wouldn't suggest it if you like a matte finish though! It's more or a natural finish... doesn't completely erase shine. x

Does it make your face itchy though? Thats what the bare minerals used to do to me

It's strange that you mentioned that! I thought my face was getting itchy from the makeup, but I tried changing the brush from more of a stiff kabuki type brush, to a softer flat top kabuki. So try changing to a really soft brush, like a flat top, a fan brush, or a powder puff. My skin feels okay now! :) x

just my two cents...the ingredient in Bare Minerals that makes you itchy is Bismuth Oxychloride (I used to work for BE, and a lot of people have reactions to that ingredient). Also, Be sure that whatever product you buy doesn't have that ingredient in it!
Also, what Amymay said is very true too....most brushes are made of stiff animal hair which can scratch the skin. I also recommend using synthetic brushes or "cruelty free" brushes. Many people are allergic to animal hair brushes and don't even know it...

Urban Decay Surreal Skin powder is A-Mazing. I've tried nearly every high end, low end, and everything in between brand and I'm totally in love with this powder. The container looks gimicky but it actually helps apply the perfect amount flawlessly. Incredible, really.

Thanks amymay and christopher ill definitely look into changing my brush. Im currently using macs 182 kabuki, do i need to go way softer than that? Angela, how is the shine control on the surreal skin?

Bobbi Brown just came out with a mineral foundation. I haven't tried it as of yet but I hope to pick some up in the next few weeks. Bare Minerals is also a great mineral line. Before paying full price for a mineral product I highly advise that you get a few samples to make sure that you don't get a nasty reaction.

I tend to have dry skin so shine has never really been an issue for me... You might want to ask Kristina H. (she's under my list of "following"). She knows A LOT about different products and is the one who introduced me to the UD powder. Her skin is oily? I think?? Hopefully she doesn't get mad at me for saying that! lol
