Nina L.
Hi, all :-)
So, I recently had a group interview in one of the Sephora’s in NYC. Everything went well. The manager interviewing us kept talking about “moving up” as a manager. She went on and said she looks at all her makeup artist and tries to move them into a “higher” position. Sounds great and all, but I really want to move up as a Makeup Artist. I don’t want to get into the “business” side of glamour. I want to DO MAKEUP ON PEOPLE.
I’m not sure where to start. I started looking into MAC cosmetics because I feel like those Makeup Artist actually DO makeup on people everyday. I, am not sure – just assuming.
If you have an experience in MAC cosmetics, Sephora, or any other brand whether it was good, or horrible PLEASE share it with me. I’m at a crossroads. I want to be employed (as we all do now-a-days) but, at what cost? I have to stay true to myself!
