What do you prefer?
Personally I prefer matte. Just wanted to know what you guys think! :)

More often than not, I prefer matte.
I tend to add glow or shimmer only to the tops of my cheeks for a highlight.

Yeah same! I just think shimmer can make people look sweaty! I think it's really pretty as a highlight but not for bronzer or blush that's going on the majority of your face! :)

if i'm going to do a shimmery cheek, everything else has to be matte. 9.9 times out of 10 though, i have matte cheeks

I like most of the other ladies would much rather add my own highlight than have it built in. I think you get a lot more control that way.

I prefer matte because I use a highlighter where the sun naturally hits my face, so I think it would probably be a bit too much if everything shimmered ;)

Matte, is better don't show as many imperfections on the skin as shimmery ones :)
but I prefer use lipstick as a blush because of my dry skin =)

I'm the odd one out clearly but I prefer shimmer! I feel like it adds some nice glow to my face, whereas a matte blush can make my skin look a bit dull.

It depends on my mood really. But if Im not wearing a highlighter on my cheekbones, then I put a dab of shimmer blush on the apples of my cheeks. If I do plan on wearing a highlighter, then I wear a matte blush.
It also depends if it is extremely hot outside. If it is, I tend to stay away from a shimmer blush because it can tend to make my whole face shiny. Not good... because I already have oily skin to begin with.

MATTE! hands down. For me personally shimmer always looks like people have oily skin! I'd rather have shimmer on my lips or eyes cause then it doesn't make me look oily!

I prefer matte also. My shimmer blushes tend to go gray on me, especially if I don't give my foundation enough time to really set and dry... and I noticed that shimmer blush doesn't look so great in photos. Matte always seems to look nice though.

I have oily skin and sometimes tend to breakout so shimmer just looked awful and made my blemishes stand out even worse..so i usually would use matte, but i bought Nars blush in orgasm and it is amazing! it has a gold shimmer in it, but it looks great!

Matte! I have dry skin so i like to use a cream blush because it add a nice sheen!

The unpopular opinion seems to be shimmer. Haha, I love it though. I have been enjoying the matte ones lately though.. but still. Shimmer and sheens are my favorites. :)

When I break out I always use matte shades, because the shimmery ones will just make it more noticeable.. When my skin is fine I go for either one :)

I prefer shimmer actually...like Angie, I feel like when I wear matte blushes, my skin looks a bit dull. I also usually don't have time to use a separate highlighter in the morning, so its like a 2-in-1 step for me.

OK to all my shimmer ladies/gents I am gonna have to say I am with you guys. I really like the way shimmer blushes make me glow. I do a highlight on my face as well but I mostly apply blush to the apples of my cheek. I do like mattes too but I tend to grab a shimmer blush for that glow!

Honestly, either barely makes a difference on my face, lol. - Probably because I use very natural/subtle blushes.

i used to use shimmers until i really got into make up & learned more about highlighting & contouring. now i try to use matte mostly unless i can't avoid it!

I agree with @Andrea G. You can hardly see shimmer when I use a shimmer blush anyway.
I do prefer matte, I mostly use matte lipsticks as blush, but I noticed most of my blushers are actually shimmer! I don't have a clue why! I guess I pay more attention to the colour rather than the finish lol.
I tend to find myself having a look at lipsticks in Boots thinking... "This will make a nice blush". Rather than for an actual lipstick!

I can go either way, really... the only thing is that I don't like TOO much shimmer...
