Hey everyone, I was wondering what are your favorite high end products you think are worth splurging on? And what about products you think aren't worth it and it's better to save your money on? For me personally, I think higher end concealers, foundations, face powders and eyeshadows are worth splurging on. While I think mascaras, eyeliners and a lot of lip products are more worthwhile to save on and there are better alternatives at the drugstore. I've never found a high end mascara I like more than the drugstore ones I love!
What do you all think? :)

I agree with you Cassandra with mascaras. Most of the high-end mascaras I've used usually don't work on me, when the drugstores ones are just fine. To name a few products I don't mind saving on by going drugstore are: blush, brow pencils, tweezers, blotting papers, and lip balm!

Definitely worth splurging: Brushes! Concealers, matte/translucent powders and water proof eye liner.
Both: Foundation/tinted moisturizer, eye shadows, blush/bronzer and lip stick.
Save money on: Liquid eye liner, mascara, false lashes and lip gloss.

I definitely splurge on foundations and concealers. Eyeshadows at inglot aren't expensive but great quality. ( not sure what category to put inglot ) mascara I always end up going back to drug store brands cause you have to switch them out every 3 months and I have yet to find a high end mascara that I love.

Splurge: Foundation, concealer
Both: Eye shadows, blush, bronzer, lipstick, lipliner, all types of eyeliner, loose and pressed powders, brushes, primer (eyeshadow or face)
Save: Mascara, falsies, lipgloss.
@Theresa: I'd say Inglot overall is probably a mid-end brand.

Splurging: Foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, primers, blush
Both: Mascara (they're real & Tarte lights, camera & YSL Faux Cils are some high enders worth the investment for myself but i love me some falsies mascara), lip gloss, lip conditioner/balm
Save: eyeliner, lipstick, brow

You see I disagree with the foundation thing. I find great foundations at drugstore prices. I have tried a few high end foundations and I don't think they are any better then my favorite foundations, which are drugstore.
I love LOreal infallible and Revlon Colorstay! :)
I haven't found a high end product to date that I find worth splurging on.

@Nykki B - Which drugstore foundations are your favorite? :) I have found a few drugstore foundations that I like and work decently, but overall all of the BEST foundations I've used are really expensive, I wish I could find an outstanding drugstore foundation! The best foundation I've used so far is the Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation.

Cassandra, My favorites are LOreal Infallible and Revlon Colorstay!

I always splurge on foundation, concealer, powder. From time to time I splurge on other things but for the most part I try to keep it even. I just went buck wild on Covergirl lipstick (buying 6 tubes) but it was so worth it since most d/s lipsticks don't work with me(get home and discover the color isn't a perfect fit with my skintone). Overall somes quality is best.

splurge: foundation, concealer, primer, skincare in general
save: eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, blush
however, if i really fiend for a product, whether it's cheap or expensive i usually just get it regardless of my spending rules
