hi vanessa thanks for responding =) i agree with you about the lashes and nyx products. usually ppl dont think of BSS as being a good quality but there are some treasures there if you're willing to look.

I love the closed supply stores because they have products (as Mandy mentioned) for roughly half the price what you pay retail. I appreciate Sally's and similar stores because they do carry other products - hair pins, mirrors, extensions, etc - for lower price than some of the closed suppliers.

My local BSS tend to have old makeup in there. :/ I don't think they update the stock. I have however purchased a lot of my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and Round Lipsticks locally for $1.99 or 99 cents. :)

I love going to Sally's for my hair dye! Beauty supply stores always have inexpensive finds that most people don't get at other stores, especially on nail polish. I'm the kind of girl who likes to go into stores to purchase things as opposed to buying online (which you can find great deals on polish), but having a beauty supply near by where I can actually look at colors in real life makes a HUGE difference to me.

My local BSS has done a huge renovation. They carry everything from hair, to hair products and now they have a section dedicated strictly to makeup and nail polish. I get into so much trouble when I go over there because they have so many great inexpensive products to choose from. They have NYX products for dirt cheap also!

see ladies now you all feel me. i too get into soo much trouble at those darn BSS. you can find soo many treasures there. i dont discriminate from BSS to department store i patronize them all. and Leslie you are my kind of girl lol

I live in San Diego and there are 2 beauty supplies that I know of that sells Nyx.
One is Sam's Beauty Plus anc the other is Diamonds.

Ahhh, local supply stores may but national chains or regional ones - especially the ones that are pro only - won't sell things like NYX.

i stay here in memphis tn and almost every BSS sells nyx. so i guess it all depends on where you are located.
