there could be a couple different things wrong. you could have the wrong color shade, you could be applying too much, the consistency of your concealer could make your eye circles look worse. SO to fix those problems: always go ONE shade lighter than your skin tone when it comes to concealer. personally i like creamier concealers rather than thick, stick-like ones.
This is what I do:
1. apply eye cream to under eye circles to hydrate them before putting on concealer
2. put concealer on my under eyes and dab with my middle finger because that is the finger with the most control
3. use a concealer brush to spread the concealer evenly
the guy working at sephora taught me this way and it's worked beautifully for my ugly under eye circles! if you're willing to invest in a high-end one, i'd highly recommend makeup forever HD concealer. if you're lookign for more drugstore, Almay line smoothing concealer is a great dupe.
good luck! :)

I agree with Michelle. Using your fingers to blend helps to melt the concealer in your skin. When your're finished, make sure you set it with a powder to prevent it from creasing or moving. Check out some youtube videos, they really help :)

Thank you girlies I actually use the MAC LIQUID concelar and I think it might be a bit dark I just had a baby so those sleepless nights give me the dark circles and wrinkles which suck I've been busing the sephora brand eye aye defying cream and it sucks so im gonna invest in some clinque product but I think I'm gonna go return or exchange that concelar to a shade lighter then .

Not sure what you are using to apply but try a wet/moist sponge...I favor my beauty blender. Like comments above use a shade that is one shade lighter and blend really well with the tip of your moistened sponge/wedge or beauty blender. I do think that a cream concealer will work better.

Get help matching not only the shade but the undertone. Depending on the colour, you might need something that will correct the discolouration rather than matching your skin.
For example; I tend to use NC foundations from MAC, but my under eye concealer is always NW.
I use my ring finger for cream concealers & a brush for liquid and set with a translucent powder.. I find it's much less obvious than a regular face powder.

Stephanie, you can blend the colors if you feel that one doesn't work well.
