After years of dying/coloring I let my hair color grow out last year. I began to chop it off last Fall too. Now all my hair dye has washed out, grown out or been chopped off. My natural hair color (I really had no clue until now what it was) has turned out to be a not so nice shade of brown/red/blonde/orange. (You can check out my profile pic to see it). I do not want to go back to dying my hair again, I have extremely sensitive skin and thin hair which were aggravated and/or damaged by the dying, but I am not happy with my natural color. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or products which will alter or better my hair color without dying? Thank you in advance dolls!

I would really recommend getting a gloss for your hair. It's not hair dye so it won't damage your hair. It actually helps your color and makes your hair shiny and healthier looking. I work at a salon and a lot of women come in and get a gloss just to darken their highlights a bit. I've had it done once before and the results we're amazing.

Yeah, a semi-permanent dye would probably work well for you. I've used several before from the Garnier HerbaShine line and I'm quite pleased. They actually make my hair feel better than before I died it lol. You can get them for quite cheap, and they last a good amount of shampoos too. There also types of dyes, normally available through beauty supply stores like Sally's, that you basically "wash in". They don't actually stick to the hair, but dry to it like temporary dye, without giving you that rough texture. I used to bleach my hair and used wash-ins to turn it white to avoid excess damage. Either of those are preferable to permanent dying. Trust me, I've tried it all lol.
