Hi everyone, My awesome tan is peeling off and now my back looks half human and half lizard! Beside exfoliating and applying moisturizer, are there any tips or products to speed up the peeling process? x0x0

This may not be particularly helpful, but it's honest.
Skin only peels when it's been burnt, and the peeling is just a part of the healing process. The skin will slough off, when the new cells underneath are ready. Personally, I'd just keep the skin hydrated, minimize any irritation and protect it from any more sun.

Yea, sorry to be a total Debbie Downer, but every time you get burned you're damaging the skin cells and increasing your chance of developing skin cancer. I used to go tanning and my doc would lecture me with those exact words every time I'd see her!
But to answer your question- you could do an enzyme peel that might get the skin to slough off faster. Papaya and pumpkin are supposed to contain good skin regenerating enzymes. Peter Thomas Roth makes a pumpkin enzyme mask and there's a papaya version from Kur if you want to try one.

also if you are tanning outside use a better sunscreen (not sunblock, it has minerals in it and you won't get a tan at all) Clarins makes excellent sunscreens : )

@April F. - sunblock and sunscreen are essentially the same thing. The only difference is one blocks BOTH UVA and UVB while the other only blocks UVB. This is why the US FDA has placed a ban on the term sunblock and beginning in 2012 products must be labeled correctly including how much SPF is in it and how often to reapply as well as the ingredients.
