I had the same problem. I still have no idea how to prevent it from happening, but I can get it off easier now though. I just let it dry while I am getting dressed then check before I go and get it off then.

i never had that problem with mascara, just eyeliner. it drives me crazy! i quit wearing it on my top lid. the liquid ones worked awesome, until the ran if i sweated or my eyes watered. what an oogy mess! :)

It sounds weird, but you would try lightly dusting your lashes with a very dark, matte black eyeshadow. That should set the mascara a little better, but I can't guarantee the shadow won't come off if you rub your eyes.

I say for sure you'd need to use a waterproof mascara, that would be my safest bet because I used to have the same issue when I was using other mascara.

Putting a powder on my eyelids helped me. Sometimes I used to try to throw on mascara and go. Nope. That does not work for me. I at least need some sort of powder (can be an eyeshadow) on my lid or my mascara transfers too.
