This months Cosmopolitan was a bit boring to read, and only had one beauty article I felt worthy enough to share with you all :) I hope you enjoy it!

Excerpt from Cosmopolitan - June 2011 issue
From the section Beauty Cheat Sheet
Wear Sunscreen Skip the Shine (page 100) (Link to full article can be found on my blog: http://www.beautybykrystal.com/2011/05/beauty-find-share-cosmopolitan-june.html)
SPF is a must year-round. But when high temps trigger oil production, it can be tempting to trade off protection for matte skin. Here's how to have both

The Pro: Marissa Nemes, a Miami makeup artist
The Prep: Wash your face in the a.m. to nix the oil produced while you sleep.

1. Using a cotton pad, swipe your T zone — the shiniest area of your face — with a mattifying toner. Those made with zinc (such as Lancome Pure Focus Mattifying Purifying Toner, $30) absorb oil best.
2. Now apply a quarter-size drop of SPF to your face and neck. Lotion-sunscreen hybrids, like Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Moisturizer SPF 30, $15, hydrate and protect in a single layer (the fewer the layers, the less shine).
3. Let sunscreen absorb into skin for five minutes, then use a blotting sheet (or a pulled apart, two-ply tissue) to soak up any leftover residue.
4. Last, dust on an SPF-spiked powder (in a shade that matches your skin tone), which will keep you matte for hours while offering a second layer of protection.

I hope this was helpful, I know I'll be using these tips a lot this summer!
Have a great day beauties!
