I was going to try out the Crest Whitening Strips but I looked at the reviews, and there were both good and bad reviews. I was wondering what you think about this particular product? Or is there any other at home teeth whitening product that you have tried out and like? Thanks :)

I have used the crest whitestripes mouthwash. I have invisalign retainers so I put some of the mouthwash in the retainers and wear them for an hour or so then rinse. Been doing this for a while and I think my teeth look a little better. For $6 it was worth it but if you want something more drastic this would not be enough probably.

I use the Crestpre-brush rinse.... It works over time, but I have been hearing a lot about those 2 hour strips! I think they'rekind of expensive, though!

The mouthwashes don't work too well for me unfortunately :(
Thanks for the suggestions though!

When I was in the US last year I bought a DIY set from Walgreens that came with a pre-rinse, a mouth tray and the tube of whitening. I can't remember the exact price but I didn't spend more than $15. I used it 2x a day for 20mins and after 4 days there was a massive, massive improvement. And this is coming from someone who doesn't have naturally white teeth AND is a smoker - it was amazing! The product is called "Plus White 5 Minute Speed Whitening" - Hope this helps!

I used a sample of the Crest 3D white strips, they really whiten and you only have to wear them for 30 minutes. The bad thing is they caused my teeth to be extremely sensitive afterwards.

I used to use the whitening strips but they really are bloody expensive. Baking soda and a whitening toothpaste is my method. Brush it on your pearly whites and put into a sports mouthguard for 30 minutes or so. Works for me!

Oh that sucks Korie.
Well, I was having a read around and apparently another method is one cap of hydrogen peroxide and one cap of water used as a rinse. MSM powder was also mentioned...Not sure how safe they are for the enamel (same with all these kinda products I guess) but the feedback for the methods seem positive.

I use a store brand pre-wash which is essentially nothing more than hydrogen peroxide. You can make the mouthwash yourself using 3% hydrogen peroxide (the kind used to clean cuts) and follow the directions on the label (it's been used for decades as a mouthwash).
The best way to use is to brush your teeth first to remove any particles from your teeth then use the peroxide rinse then brush your teeth again to remove the taste from your mouth (it's pretty vial since it foams in your mouth since the peroxide is killing the germs in your mouth) and follow up with a normal mouthwash. You won't see results overnight since it's a gradual bleach. If you have relatively white teeth the results should be within a few weeks IF you use it at least twice a day (morning & night). The more yellow and dingy looking your teeth are the longer it will take. Brush your teeth only once a day and it definitely will take much longer for it to work.

If you want to whiten teeth naturally try brushing your teeth before bed with bi carbonate soda and then rinsing it out with half a cap full of vinegar. It acts like a bleach :)
