About how much are you willing to spend on primer? It may help when giving recommendations. :)

That's a tall order; I have to admit. Doable, but a tall order.

Should point out I've not used any of these three, as they're not available in the US.

Accessorize primer ~ £9.00 at Superdrug (30ml/1 fl oz)

17 Photo Flawless Primer ~ £4.99 at Boots (15ml/0.5 fl oz; £9.98/30ml)

Maybelline The Smoother Skin Retexturizing Primer ~ £9.99 at Boots (7ml/0.24 fl oz; £42.60/30ml)

Unfortunately, every other primer I've found -- including other drugstore brands (L'Oreal, Gosh, No.7, others) -- are over £10. The least expensive of those were the two No7 ones available at Boots (Shine Free Makeup Base and Colour Calming Primer) -- £11 each for 40ml/~1.4 fl oz; or £7.86/30ml. (We do have No7 products in the US, but I've not tried anything in that range so far.)

Regarding the first three I mentioned, in terms of value for money, I'd go with Accessorize. However, either of the No7 ones would be an even better value for money as you get a bit more product, assuming you'd be willing to part with a smidge more of your cash.

(Aside: I list prices per 30ml, as it's the equivalent of 1 fluid ounce, which is practically the industry standard size.)

Thanks shelly , that was really helpful ^_^

10pound was just a rounded figure reaally so i probably will go check out the No.7 primers and read a couple of reviews and decide whether or not to buy it, have you tried elf's primer? <3

Oooh, forgot about e.l.f.'s! No, I haven't tried it. Seems like it's not bad, though?

I really like the Rimmel Perfect Primer - it is $7 and it works really well! I have bought it 4 times over now.

I really like the Bare Escentuals Face Primer called "Prime Time". I like this primer because it doesnt leave a greasy feeling on your face after the foundation is on top. It make my foundation last longer and look smoother. I wont put foundation on without this primer. They also make a "brightening" version of this primer too if you want more of a glow under your foundation. It also creates a smooth surface so if you have fine lines, large pores, or wrinkles it prevents your foundation settling in those areas. This foundation is on the higher priced side at $20 but the bottle lasts FOREVER!! one pump is plenty for your whole face. hope that helps!
