Do any of you use a foundation primer?
If yes, Which product do you use & what's your skin type?

I use Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
& I have dry skin.

I use the Smashbox primer in green to neutralize any redness, and I have more oily skin :)

Omg. I have the worst case of redness around my cheeks.
I use L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Color Correcting Primer! (way too long to write) for redness.

i've used monistat and the elf mineral primer, from what i've read they seem to be dupes of smashbox's primer but i haven't used it so i don't know, but they both make my skin feel super soft! right now i'm using lorea'l's studio secrets magic perfecting base and it work really good at filling in my pores and making my skin feel soft!

Would you recommend the elf mineral primer for oil skin?

I have dry/sensitive-normal skin...and I use MAC's prep+prime & Tarte's Clean Slate primer (mattifying as well).

I'm with Meghan. It's all about the Monistat Anti-chafing Gel! I have super oily skin and this keeps my makeup on just as well as any other silicone-based primer. Why spend almost $40 on Smashbox when you can get something just as good for less than $10?

I must try that Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel. I spend too much money on my Smashbox Photo Finish, but I just LOVE that thing! I've tried Tarte's Clean Slate primer, but I still like the feel of Smashbox Photo Finish more.

I am just afraid that when I whip out that Monistat Anti-Chafing gel to apply it on my clients' face that they jump out of the chair and fire me.  o_O

MUFE HD Primer in 0 for dry-normal skin! (Would not recommend for oily skin.)

I switch between MUFE All Matte, a Biotherm primer, and a Skin79 BB cream. I've got pretty much oily skin (olive-toned and blemish prone) all year 'round.

Right now im using Avon's face perfector. interested in trying something else. unfortunately most of the products you dolls use are not available where i live [Trinidad] *sad face*

Ack. I live in Asia. I don't have access to most of the products I see here. Avon products have been very unkind to me over the years, too. What DO you have available to you in Trinidad?

In terms of the more popular cosmetics we have lines such as revlon, loreal, black opal and MAC, to name a few.

I love the chafing gel or smashbox, not much difference

I use the Laura Gellar spackle foundation primer. Its ok but I'm looking for a new brand to try.

@Thyda: If you try the Monistat, maybe you can put it in a different pump package when you use it on clients so they don't freak out.

I have tried the Too Face pore minimizing primer, urban decay, revlon, and bare minerals I like them all but revlon made it a little oily not good too greasy feeling for me, and too face was really soft but it didn't keep my make- up on as long as I would have liked. I am torn between uban decay and bare minerals right now and my skin is normal except i may get a little oily it the T-Zone area.

I have never heard of using the Chafing gel! That is sooo cool! So do you just apply it all over your face? Do you use your fingers, brush or sponge? I so want to try that
