How To Clear Up Acne?

I use the Proactiv Facial Cleanser, and I know everyone has their opinion on it and think it is not a good product to use. It does make your skin more sensitive due to the ingredients that it contains. I find that using the Proactiv cleanser leaves my skin feeling very, very clean and feeling refreshed, as well as it exfoliates great. I used to have very bad acne and the Proactiv has cleared it up quite well. I've used it for about four years now. I don't use the whole three step system though. I find the toner does nothing, and the moisturizer makes my skin oiler. For a toner I use the Biore toner, and I dont even use a moisturizer because my skin is oily as it is. If I were to suggest a cream for afterwards, I would use a Clean and Clear one, that is oil free!

Alyssa, sometimes oily skin is compensating for "dry" skin. Sometimes the skin isn't getting hydrated enough, so it produces sebum (or whatever the term for oil on the skin is). So that's why you hear or read that even if you have oily skin, it's good to moisturize your skin. Try moisturizing with the Clean and Clear and see if your oil decreases.

@Alyssa I agree with not using a moisturizer. If your skin is oily it is producing that oil because that is how your genes are, not because it isn't moisturized. If that were the case then no one would have dry skin because the skin would produce more oil as needed. I also agree with not using the proactiv toner; it's terrible! I use the beauche set. I used it for 1 week now and I can totally see my scar lighten. it has a tone, a clarifying lotion, exfoliating cream, rejuvinating cream and a cleansing bar. also has an age eraser cream that can also be used as a foundation with spf:)

You can also go to a dermatologist and they might recommend "epiduo",I use epiduo and cause I have really really bad acne but I have to say epiduo really works good so I really suggest you go see your dermatologist👌
