I do. I work as a beaty expert in a boutique in shoppers.
The first thing i did was buy books, read up on techniques, watch alot of youtube, and practice on my friends and family. Then, for a co-op position at school i worked at a cosmetic clinic, which had everything from lip injections and facial treatments to makeup application and mani/pedi's. I learned alot there. I built up a bit of a portfolio by taking pictures of any makeup that i did. worked on some close friends small weddings, and slowly built some skill. I applied and was interviewed and got the job. they also send you to schools/training when you begin working for any beauty company and throughout, especially when there is new product launches :) good luck, practice is the best, and if you can go to school, you will have an easier time, but you dont have to.
