Foundation brush or sponge? I never used a brush and I'm not sure how to apply foundation with it. Any advice?

I like the EcoTools brushes- got a few sets at Rite Aid. I also like Rite Aid's own makeup brush brand Renewal. I like Sonia Kashuk and Elf brushes, but no matter if its the Studio or Essentials line, the brushes are wicked cheap and always decompose somehow. I also have a ton of Sorme brushes because those came in my makeup kit I got for my makeup class.

Sigma are some of my favorite, I usually try to see reviews on them before buying and same with MAC because some are amazing and some I do regret buying some. I like Elf brushes alot too but Sigma is just outstanding, it leaves a flawless look :)

as a freelance makeup artist i got my hands on a wide variety of brushes from different brands and i find myself gravitating towards sigma( just like mac, if not better and their synthetic mr. bunny line has the softest brushes i've ever seen! and they don't shed a single hair.) my other favorites are sedona lace vortex brush set, real techniques core brush set and stippling brush, and hakuhodo brushes. (hakuhodo are a luxury japanese brush brand that sells handmade well made makeup brushes... they're expensive compared to mac but they are waaaay softer than mac, i only own two brushes from them that i got for my birthday but if you want to splurge on proper brushes definitely get a blush brush from hakuhodo) and paula dorf eyeshadow brushes (makeup artist's secret weapons... lisa eldridge and wendy rowe swear by these)
