Ladies, I've had two inquiries about wedding application prices and I've sort of stuck when it comes to pricing! How much is a decent amount for a bride to spend to get a full face application, including lashes, and a pre-trial?

Prices can vary significantly by area.

Try a Google search for MUA's in your area and check their prices so that you're not too high or too low.

I believe most places charge the same for a trial run and day of wedding.
I would say it can range from $40 -$60 for makeup application. But yes it depends on your location as well. Lashes are usually an extra $5-$10 application fee.
Where I live, we charge $40 for makeup, and $10 extra for lashes.

I try to be reasonable for the amount of work and detail involved. Basic nude faces start at 35 and work up to 75 for high detail, color, or avant garde work. If the bride wants her makeup, the wedding party, and the mother of the bride, I do a discount of 30-50 per face, because I'm guaranteed a certain amount of business.

But those prices are specifically how I work, and I ask my brides to supply their own foundation. If I'm required to purchase for them, I charge a bit more

brides can be very picky so i can charge anywhere between $75 the basic works to $200 if i am expected to powder her nose and hold her hand all day like i did in one wedding i am not doing it for $75 i learned that the hard way!

i do the same they supply there own foundation or i purchase one and they are charged for it because matching foundations without the bride can be a pain and its less of a headache when they consent to bringing there own.

also make up a contract that states everything your going to do, and what you expect and what your client expects.. youtube contacts there are some good videos. but allergic reaction ect so your not legally held responcible if something on the brides end goes wrong.

I agree with Tamara. Areas are all different. When I had to establish pricing I googled and checked out places in my area and went from there.

Just remember not to sell yourself short just to get the job. You are worth EVERY penny!
