Hey guys! I work for MAC and just wanted to let you know they no longer accept business cards as proof, and they drastically cut the list of schools they accept as valid for certificates. Your best bet is a call or tear sheet and a website.

Most companies will not accept cosmetology licenses as proof of being a professional makeup artist. Others may give only a 10% to 30% discount instead of a larger discount (but hey, it's still a discount). Look at the requirements each company sets for applying for their pro cards/discounts.

I am a licensed cosmetologist. do I just need to contact these companies with a photo of my license to apply for the discounts? that would be so exciting to get a lower price :-)

I wonder if they consider cosmetology license the same thing as a makeup artist certification from a certified makeup artistry school.
