Hey everybody,
I am on the hunt for a good quality camera to record yt vids. Does anybody have a flip hd camera? What r the pros and cons?

we use them for the intro to video class I teach at MICA, and I think they are a great introductory camera for a great price. the pros are that they are extremely user friendly, and dont require extensive technical knowledge. The cons I could see would be limited recording times. HD, even when compressed, is a large format and these cameras record on internal memory. For yt videos, this should be more than sufficient though!

it you want a higher end consumer video camera, but you still want to keep your purchase affordable, I cannot say enough good things about the Sony HDR-CX150. Its more than a flip, like 500ish...but it has an internal 16GB flash memory, and I think you can upgrade the memory to a 32GB if you reaaaallly think you're gonna need the longer shooting capabilities.
