II live in LA myself and while we do have pretty much everything, fashion, make up, small communities based on different cultures and tons of events going on every month..i can't it is 100% safe. Like everywhere you have your good and bad people

Honestly, the big cities in california are some of the best but also the most urban. Meaning there can be a lot of gangs, robberies, etc. I would reccomend the smaller cities near the major ones. For example, if you considered SF, I would consider living in cities in/near San Mateo. If you considered LA, I would consider the valley, Brentwood, Orange County area, etc. Comment my wall if you want more advice. :)
