120 Colour Palettes - worth it?

I use my bh cosmetics 120 palette all the time! They are very pigmented and easy to work with. I definitely recommend it! :)

There is no "brand" of 120 palette. Or 88 original/shimmer/matte/prism. Or 78. And so on. They're all the same generic palettes from China rebranded and marked up the wazoo (in regards to BH). Do an eBay search; you'll likely find them cheaper.

Definitely worth it. I've not bought any new eyeshadows since I bought my 120 palette (1 year ago.) It's awesome! Mine is from "Manly" which I just bought off of Ebay. They are all the same - as Shelly said.

@Elyne - No offense but I use it on clients and also help them to find great beauty products on a budget (because some of them are in bands or are in theater...and don't have time nor money to just stand around and look through so much stuff) and I normally recommend these palettes. As long as you have a primer, and for some colors a base - then it's just fine! :)

@Terra I also use them for halloween! Especially the reds. They are perfect to have as a sort of base for blood, or just stipple the red shadow on and apply lipgloss over it and it's awesome.

I bought one of the 88 palettes at the LA County Fair last year and when asking about the brand, the sales lady told me the same thing. "Yes it's the same as the BH or Coastal Scents, these we just get direct from the manufacturer so they don't have a name on them. They're all pretty much the same generic product." I can honestly say that I do love my 88 palette and find it very useful. Is it the only thing I use? Nope. I love my MAC too much for that, but it's definitely one of my go-to palettes.

I have an 88 bh matte palette, but I don't really use it often. I still rather use my single eyeshadows or quads. The single eyeshadows are more convenient for me just because of the way I organize my makeup.

Honestly, no.

I bought one because of the hype (also to use for makeup tutorials if I don't have a colour I need to use) and... ugh. I don't like the quality of them, honestly. Plus you can just get them cheaper on eBay. I don't use my palette unless I need it for filming.

I have a love hate relationship with this palette. Some of the colors has great pigmentation while others I don't even use because of the poor quality/pigmentation.
Some feels chalky,some feels creamy smooth. It's a good palette if you want to play around and just see whatever colors suits you the best. I find myself,like another girl said above, going back for those few ones I love in the palette.
I actually ordered the BH customized pro palette, you can choose 15 or 6 colors. I heard this one has better pigmentation than the 120 or 88 palettes...
So whatever you choose totally depends on what you're looking for.
If I could choose now, I wouldn't have gone for it. There are many great drugstore eyeshadows out there that deserves more attention than the 120.
Definitely not for professional use!

I honestly think they're worth it, especially if you want to experiment with colours but don't have the money to shell out for MAC and the likes... I got the BH Cosmetics 120 palette recently and its great! Some are a bit chalky but I find if you use something similar to NYX's jumbo pencil in Milk as a base, it helps =]
