I recently transferred some toner water into an empty spray bottle. It was originally hair shine spray, so I washed out the bottle a good 3 times before putting the toner in. But when I smell the bottle, it still smells of the shine spray. Have I not got rid of all the product or is the smell just 'stuck' there? is it safe to use, because I don't want to be spraying hair products onto my face >_<

If you properly washed it then it's safe, as Erica pointed out if it's plastic then plastic tends to retain smells and even certain colors. If you're concerned you can try washing it again and filling with rubbing alcohol and allow it to sit overnight then dump the alcohol out into the sink, rinse and allow to air dry for a few days. OR just dump it to the trash and get a cheap $1 spray bottle. ;)

Thanks guys! Yeah the bottle is plastic so thats probably why, I don't see how it'd still be there after I washed it 3 times :P

Plastic is porous unlike glass and depending on the plastic some might retain stains or smells longer than other types.
