I was thinking about getting the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette. However, I'm a high school student and on a budget so it'd be a pretty big splurge for me. I'm kind of on the fence about it. I don't have any colorful eyeshadows but am not positive how many age-appropriate looks I could pull off with this palette. I also recently purchased the Naked palette. I'd wait to see if I still want the palette in a couple months, but considering it's LE I'm not too sure how much longer it'll be out. So what do you think? Is it worth it? Thanks so much!

in any case, you could use the deeper colors for powder eyeliners and then the brighter colors can be run along your lower lash line for a pop of color. however, i'm 21 and still contemplating buying this. i have the naked palette as well and love it but i don't see myself using all of the colors in the 15th palette. i'm not sure how long it'll be available but you could always put it on your christmas list

I would probably skip it. I was on the fence about it until I saw it in person. I loved the more colorful shades in it, but I knew I would seldom use them. I would look into NYX eyeshadows if you want some more colorful shades. They have a wide variety of shades and a few palettes that are much more affordable. And they are good quality, too. Also e.l.f. has a palette that has 100 shades for $10. Granted they are not as pigmented as Urban Decay, but they still work nicely and are pretty shades.

First you should read the reviews (which I'm assuming they're all good since it's UD).
Second, think about your budget. Will it put a hole in your pocket in some sense? Will you feel guilty after buying it?
Third, test the product in person.
Fourth, think about your current situation. Is it NEED vs WANT.
Fifth, with that money could buy something more important that you actually need.
If you want to experiment with color, I'd recommend buying a drug store palette or shadows to try it out/for practice. You wouldn't want to waste a good quality and expensive shadows.
If you're worried about it being LE, make-up is endless. It's like everything else in the world. There will always be more and you won't die not having it.
If you REALLY REALLY REALLY want it, and don't care about your budget then you should get it.
Hope this helps (:

Id say skip it.
My reasoning:
I have bought it myself and havent touched it at all. The colors are yes gorgeous and silky (from testing it out in store) but the bright colors are limited, If you have bought the Naked Palette then id say 10 of the colors in the 15th anniversary palette are just shimmery neutrals so thats a downside (i dont have the Naked Palette so I cant compare much).
Another thing to consider that Kristen pointed out is looking for alternatives. I have the E.L.F. 100 palette (which has more bright colors, and theyre quite pigmented and chalky but a damp brush helps decrease chalkiness) and was able to complete a YT tutorial where the Guru used the anniversary palette and i used the ELF. (I did use a urban decay primer potion and a slightly damp brush to make the colors vibrant but other than that i got same exact results that lasted 10 hours with no creasing).
Also if you dont buy it right now and it gets sold out. there is a website called Makeupalley, where people can get make up item reviews and also swap for make up, Ive found some people there Swapping their 15th Anniversary palette and other LE palette from other brands. This last one ive added to just show that even if you dont get the chance to buy an item theres other ways you still can get hold of it :)

Limited Editions come and go, ask MAC! I agree with Kristen also. NYX makes amazing eyeshadows and they are very inexpensive. Nobody besides you will know much it cost you, or who made it. I would say pass. When you have more money to spend on more expensive things, it won't set you back as much, and you won't feel near as guilty (which takes the fun out of buying these things!) = )

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I really appreciate it (: I'm still kinda on the fence but your replies did help a lot.

I have this palette and I love it dearly. HOWEVER, I would skip it if I was buying on a budget. Mainly because you can obtain many of these colors as singles even after the palette is gone... not all of these are everyday wearable if you are a more of a neutral type of girl. I would look online fore 15 anniversary dupes and go with the cheaper option! I do not regret buying it because I do love it.. but it is not an absolute MUST.
