I have oily skin, i know what to use for my face, but my eyelids seem even more oily and i've tried different primers and it still creases or fades super quickly. i've used mac painterly paint pot, elf, and Urban decay. if there is any suggestions i'd appreciate it.

Paint pots always crease on me if I use them on their own, but the paints (looks like a small tube of toothpaste) hold up very well. Untitled is similar to Painterly.
Also, how much of the product are you using?
I've seen a lot of people with oilier lids use more than they should, because they think they need more to block the oil. In most cases less is more.

I have the exact same problem!!! It's very frustrating! I've also used the Mac primers....but they don't seem to help! I got a sample of the Benefits Stay Don't Stray primer for concealers and eyeshadows.......and so far it's the best one I've tried! I agree with Tamara.....less is more! Good luck! XxX

Oh and quick question....what primer do u use for your face????

I was going to end up trying the paints, but i wasn't really sure if they would do that. and I've heard good things about benefits & too faced so i might try both!
and for my face primer, right now i just use bare minerals oil control. it seems to work good, i want a better one though. i wasn't always so into wearing a face primer, so that one was just a "why not" kinda buy aha

My skin is very oily as well and I never apply any foundation or concealer on my eyelids. I only use a lot of powder and then a primer (prefer a more sticky one like NYX JEP) and make sure to saturate your primer with a lot of eyeshadow. Works for me, my eyeshadows stays on for at least 12 hours without creasing and looking the same as they did when I left my house! This works perfect for me. Hope this helped a bit

Definitely invest in a good eye primer. I use the body shop's "matte it" and it works great. Also, bare mineral's 'prime time' is hands down one of the best but its pretty pricey though.
In my experience (i have oily lids+skin too) the primer that is like a clear gel (both body shop+bare minerals are clear gels), works so much better than those that has a cream consistency (like UD's primer potion or ELF's primer, both do not work for me). The gel consistency dries quicker and it lasts way much longer!
Also, if you have oily lids, you may want to avoid some of those cream shadows (except some that claim that they are primer shadows)
***Definitely check before you purchase (for ex: in Sephora, swatch some shadows/eyeliner in your hand, take a walk for several minutes and try to buff the colors out with your fingers, those that dont budge will definitely lasts in our oily lids)***

I have such an issue with my eyelids creasing! It makes it so limiting, because I can rarely use products that aren't powders :[ I usually put down a neutral base, like Bare Minerals in Bisque, and that typically helps my eyeshadow last a few hours longer. I have yet to find a primer I feel really "wow!" about though

I have really oily lids as well and it doesn't matter how waterproof some eye products claim to be, when they encounter the oils on my eyelids, they will always crease or transfer. Before the MUFE Aqua Liners, I couldn't even do a cat-eye flick.
I've found that MUFE Aqua Creams are great by themselves or as a base. They won't budge AT ALL. And the MAC Paint tubes work pretty well, too.

use the urban decay primer potion, the original one tho
i use it to prevent greasy lids even if i don't use eye shadow :P
