So I just discovered an amazing multi-use product. I have really dark under eye circles and I find it really hard to cover them and end up layering concealer after concealer. I've heard of orange colour correctors but they all seemed so expensive (like the Eve Pearl salmon one) but then I looked in my makeup collection and saw my NYX Jumbo Eye crayon in Orange and instantly knew i was a genius. I tried it out and it really works!

Are there any other jumbo pencil colours that would work for colour correction? I wish they had a matte green for redness. Have any of you guys tried this out? I hope some of you found this helpful, or at least amusing that I found this so exciting :P

I use Coastal Scents liquid color correctors. Each tube is less than $4 with the whole kit being under $17.

@Yasmin: I actually have a question for you. I've been curious about those CS liquid color correctors. I've read reviews that the red stains? Have you used the red one before? Thoughts? =D Thanks in advance!

It all stains if you use it straight. If you mix only a drop at a time into whatever you're trying to correct it won't stain. A little goes a long, long way.

For me I used the blue in an foundation that has an orange ting to it and I got some of the blue on my fingers and it was like getting food coloring on my fingers.

Great! =D Thanks for the feedback. I was just worried about getting the red for creating salmon shades...and having that red stain is not exactly what I'm looking for lol!

xsparkage did a video awhile back using orange lipstick to do this. i was shocked how well it worked. i recently got the nyx orange concealer, but i'm finding it as well another concealer pot sort of dry. blech. i might have to invest in the jumbo pencil! thanks for the tip! (: i'm wondering if they have a green one that would work with redness now...

I checked all their green ones (they have 3) but they all look shimmery which isn't the best... but they have lilac, yellow and blue i think for other correctors :)

@Ashley the redness I tend to have is acne spots, so I use my teatree mask as a spot treatment/color corrector on the really bad spots. It's green, so I use a really thin layer just on the spot and it really works to correct under foundation! Just a thought, if you have anything like that =)

Physician's Formula makes an awesome green corrector that I've been using for 10 years. It's a stick product, so it's very thick and dry. Not quite as dry as a stick, but not as creamy as a pot concealer. It covers my redness like a dream.

I don't see the jumbo eye pencil in orange on the website, but see the lip pencil in orange. However, it might be too rough to use under eyes and where hyper pigmentation is?

Maybelline is not vegan unfortunately. I'm gonna try to see if the orange pencil will magically appear at the store when I go after work. Otherwise, I'll buy a lime crime orange lipstick.
