Hey my name is Gina obviously haha and i just started out here on beautylish and recently started youtube vids! i think my favorite part is making videos and knowing that they are helping people not only in the beauty community, but like random people that come on youtube and are looking for something specific. I think that its great that there are so many resources out there now that are extremely helpful whether ur just starting out with makeup and hair or if u already know the ropes, but just want inspiration. i like that the community is growing so much and for me i just wanted to be apart of that circle and be apart of a group that likes the same things as me! soo thats my favorite parts haha! this is a great topic thigamagig!!

First of all, I don't really consider myself a guru. At least not yet. I'm too new. I'm a beauty lover and teacher. But my favorite part is knowing when I've helped someone. My favorite comments are ones that say they want to try out a look. I simply adore those! Maybe I don't have many viewers or a partnership or my own website but I have people who like my ideas. That's enough for me!

I'm the same was as Kelsea. I'm too new to really be considered a "guru."
I just love making videos! There are endless possibilities! I personally love watching reviews, I find them very helpful. So I try to do mostly reviews. I think they can be very helpful to viewers, and I don't get the products for free so they know that its really my own honest opinion. It just gives me a great feeling when someone asks me about a product because it makes me feel like I'm they're friend in a way because I know I go to my friends for beauty advice a lot. Its just so fun making videos and I have a good feeling when I do it!

i have to admit it was really flattering to get recognized by a few of my viewers when i attended IMATS
apart from that, i just love teaching about makeup, it's definitely my passion in life.

How exactly would you define beauty guru?

Kelsea M.
Well, according to youtube I am listed as a guru but I feel like a guru is an expert. I don't feel like I'm an expert. At least not yet. =]

@Kayla T. Just anyone that helps people with beauty/fashion/advice etc. doesn't matter if you just started or if you have been one for years
And thank you all for your input!

Well, I don't think I'm a beauty guru on YouTube quite yet, not because I'm new to YouTube, but mostly because I have much to learn and much more I need in order of building up my makeup collection:)
I feel that the best thing about making beauty videos on YouTube is that its really cool to be making videos about my knowledge and my creation that I do with beauty and fashion and etc. I also think its kinda cool when I see how many people view my videos sometimes and how I never thought that many people would see what I have to say:)

Well I record my videos on my iPhone.. But people still watch me;P but there's nothing wrong with being unsure about it. It took me like 5 months to think weather I wanted to make videos or not on yt:)

What I Love about being a Guru on YouTube, is that I get to connect with people from all over the world! I've only just started out and already I'm getting to know a wide range of people from Beautylish and my Youtube Channel! I Love it! I just want to help young girls with queries on make-up and by doing this, it's hopefully helping my career along the way! It's amazing how many people connect over YouTube. Lets keep it up guys.
Please come watch my channel, I've just added a new Video Make-Up Tutorial!

I personally love having an outlet for my.. makeup loving? Haha! Most of my friends aren't as into makeup as I am! Some get my obsession others don't.. so getting on youtube and stuff and being able to talk about makeup to people who share my views is just awesome!
