Hey guys! so I've used Seche Vite Top Coat for years now & I've always loved it!
However... the bottle of Seche Vite I have now (which is less than a year old, I believe) has started to become clumpy and gooey when I apply it. I always screw the top tightly back on... It is stored in my room which is always a regular temperature... has this happened to anyone else?! I can't even use the rest of the bottle now because it ruins my manicure and makes the nail polish look goopy and full of air bubbles.
Has this happened to anybody else?

It's a quick dry top coat so as you use it it will slowly start to thicken. I recommend you use their brand of thinner as opposed to an off brand (I had the Sally Beauty Supply thinner and when I used it with a bottle of Seche Vite it turned it cloudy)
If you're looking for another quick dry top coat that doesn't get gooey, try Poshe. Personally I love my Seche Vite so I just buy the thinner and top coat in professional sizes to save money.

I've had the top coat for quite some time and this has never happened to me! Perhaps it was not closed shut all the way and dried up a bit?

Yes, just the other day I went to apply it on freshly painted nails and it was REALLY thick and started to streak and mess up as I applied. I've had it for a little less than a year. Not sure why it happens but I've been on the lookout for another alternative...

This has happened to me as well. Both times that I've owned the bottle.

Quick dry top coats always thicken on me. Now I use a regular glossy top coat and OPI's Drip Dry drops on top.

I've used Poshe, and never had a problem. I have used Seche Vite, also with no problem. I stopped using the Seche when the nail center I frequented stopped offering it. I hear it's at Sally's Beauty now.

Seche Vite is a quick dry top coat and so will go thick fairly quickly. Seche do advise that this will happen, and do sell a specific thinner to remedy it. Seche Vite is a very different product to most top coats, and works in a different way, which is why it dries all the layers so quickly. For me, I think it's such a brilliant product that I'm prepared to use the thinner occasionally if I have to!

* PS I just bought Sally Hansen Insta-Dry No Chip Top Coat (it comes in a red bottle) and I'm loving it so far. It does dry super fast!

@Anne T. I have the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry and it does the same after a while, turns goopy, thick and streaks...

Definitely has the same problem with my Seche Vite, but instead of spending your money on a polish thinner, just try using pure acetone. You'll be able to use the acetone to remove nail polish later on too. Good luck!

Most beauty supply stores carry it for around $2 (small size) Sallys also has it and if you a member you can get it for a discounted price.
