A new way of introducing your blogs and channels =D

So what I've found in this Introduce Yourself forum especially is a bunch of people just posting links to all their accounts and asking people to subscribe and all. While that's great and I'm sure the whole Beautylish community along with myself are willing to offer everyone all the support we can, it tends to be a little difficult browsing through all the profiles and channels and watching as many videos as we possibly could to get an idea of what we subscribed to in the first place.

So, I figured that along with posting links to our blogs and youtube channels on this thread, we could give a brief explanation of why we decided to try the guru thing out in the first place, what our videos are about, and what makes us different =D

Hmm... my turn? Okay, so, within the past year I've really been getting into watching the beauty videos. I know I'd watched some before that, but... well, I found them somewhat disheartening because I could not afford the products they were using or even find many of them as my town does not really have any good places to shop for makeup. However, I first started getting more drugstore products, trying different things out and finally managed to get my hands on some higher end things, beginning with the Urban Decay Naked palette.

Anyway, fast forward and I've been able to make more trips to the city to do some more major shopping as well as some online purchases. It's gotten to be a bit of an addiction now and I think I've gotten pretty good at doing my makeup, so I wanted to share with other people~ :D

Sounds awesome!!

Well I finally started making beauty related videos after watching many guru's on YT for almost two years! I've always been interested in everything beauty & fashion related & found the confidence to start my own channel not too long ago haha. I figured not to wait any longer to do what I love most which is sharing my passion for fashion & beauty with you guys!

Well... on my channel I post make up, nail & hair tutorials. I also do hauls, reviews & the occasional OOTD haha. The make up tutorials that I show are mostly done with affordable make up products! I'm also really interested in music, but decided to make a separate channel for that. So yeah that's what's my channel is all about. I also have a blog linked to my youtube account.

These are the links & I hope you'll check them out :)

Ok I'm self taught for the most part and I was looking for some tips and trick on youtube about 2 yrs ago and watching them I was realizing that most of the thing they were doing I already knew. So the thought popped in my head that maybe I could do the same thing and help some people out. I a;ready was the go to person in my group of friends for all things fashion and makeup. I did notice that they used a lot of brands that are more than I like most other people can afford but I knew I could do my own thing with it.

I do a lot of the looks on my youtube channel are really toned down but I'm working on some bolder looks right now. I also use a lot of drugstore products. So these will be looks anyone can do. http://www.youtube.com/user/Saphire4me

My blog I started because I had just moved back home to Texas and had no internet and when I could get on it was so slow that it take 3 to 4 day if not more to upload so want to continue to share I started the blog. The blog is more people orientated I want as many people to be involved as possible . Its also where i share more than just my makeup tips and look but also where i share my reviews, fashion and all things beauty. http://somniumultra.blogspot.com/

Im not look for subbies (even though that would be awesome) but mostly comments on what you think. Im very interested in haveing everyones imput. My blog is about the inspireing one another and picking up a few tips and ideas along the way. One thing I always say is You dont have to be perfect to be beautiful.

hope you guys like the channel and blog ♥

I first started doing youtube hair tutorials back in 2007 when youtube wasn't as flooded with beauty tutorial videos yet. I took a break to attend grad school for two years and now I am back making videos and blogging.

I think what is unique about my blog is that I am really into cute things. I also like to approach things from a creative point of view since my profession is in graphic design. My hobby is to discover different ways to look and feel better without breaking the bank. My motto is to have balance in everything you do and to always sustain health, beauty, and happiness.

I really feel that my passion for fashion, keen taste for style, creativity, and years of experiment and research of beauty knowledge can help girls learn how to accentuate their beauty, both inside and out.

So check out my blog at www.iobeauty and also follow me on twitter @iobeauty. Don't forget about facebook too! http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/IOBeauty-A-Creative-Girls-Guide-to-Fashion-Style-Beauty-and-Well-Being/131397716894821

I was interested in makeup since I was 12 because I aways wanted to be an entertainer. Sining is my passion so when I came across Skye Sweetnam's channel on Youtube (She's one of my favourite singers) I saw her makeup tutorials and was addicted to them. Then I found other gurus like XSparkage and my most favourite, Michelle Phan. She's the greatest ever! I was addicted to her videos and find them even more entertaining than watching TV. It's because of her that I decided to make Makeup Artistry my backup career plan. So I grabbed my camera and figured out how to film and upload videos and made a Youtube channel. I'm doing pretty good if I say so myself :)
I also want to use my channel to spread the word about my music talent and Asperger Syndrome, which I have as well.

Hi all. I have been a fan of makeup for almost 4 years now. I started watching videos of makeup from YT gurus back then and now, I have mustered up the courage to start a blog myself. I am definitely not on YouTube. I'm still trying be at peace with the idea that I will be in front of the camera. But, I do try to make a little of makeup tutorials, reviews on products that I use and what works for me. Apart from makeups, I am also into shoe collecting. I started going gaga over shoes last year after watching SATC one Saturday and bought my first 3 pairs of out-of-this-world shoes.

If you do have time, check out my blog: http://therubyshoesthoughts.blogspot.com

It's not all about makeup. I think by taking up different topics, I will be able to reach out to a bigger audience.

Thanks! and don't forget to subscribe to my blog. And if I do decide to create my YT channel, this will be the first site I will inform. :)

Ok, my turn I guess. Well, I'm a photography hobbyist, and I've never touched makeup until 2009, when I was already 28, can you believe it? I was asked to model for my photographer friends, and I didn't know of any MUAs and I needed to learn how to do my own makeup. I went on Youtube and found a lot of gurus sharing their knowledge. So I learned from them, but in my search, I found very few Filipinos, or even ladies who have similar skintone as myself on Youtube. So I decided, why not learn together? Based on what I learn from other gurus, I make my vids and hopefully those who have similar features as myself would get something out of it.
