Hello! So I'm just wondering, if you've had acne, what products have helped you clear your skin?
Thanks so much for your input!

Hi Zoe! I have acne, and I swear I have tried just about everything under the sun. As of lately, my skin has been clearing up, and all I have been doing is consistently washing my face twice a day, and I try to have at least 1-2 days a week where I don't wear any makeup at all so my skin can breathe. I like using the Clean & Clear daily face scrub and face wash, along with their Persa-Gel 10 nightly for a spot treatment. And after a few weeks of that, I have really seen the results! I hope that kinda helps! :)

I had terrible acne since I was 12 and I used everything from Proactive, Murad, etc. They only thing that consistently kept my skin perfectly clear was getting Epiduo from my dermatologist a long with a skin antibiotic (Doxycycline). I recommend Epiduo to everyone who asks how my skin cleared up so fast! Prescription strength acne medicine works wonders! Also antibiotics work great, but I wouldn't recommend using it everyday as it can potentially weaken your immune system.
Initially Epiduo made my skin really red and sensitive for a few days but when it went away I had a major change in my skin- and as long as I remembered to put my it on my pimples my skin was virtually breakout free. :) As I got older my acne just started going away, now I only get one or two on my chin or jawline if I fall asleep with makeup on.

Alright. Lemon essential oil is awesome for healing acne, try ordering it online from the specific brand doTERRA, which is Latin for gift of the earth (not important lol). Simply rub that on the word spots and leave it there.
Also, buy some aspirin tablets and mash them up into a powder. Mix this powder with some water to create a paste. Take some of this paste and rub it on any of the most sensitive or worst spots on your face. Wait for it to dry, or for about 5 minutes, and rinse it off. Your acne will fade away. This technique is called the aspirin mask.
My third little trick is to reduce redness of acne. Buy some regular artificial tears eyedrops (plain, non- prescription eyedrops) and drip them onto irritated (and irritatING) whiteheads. The eyedrops contain anti- inflammatory agents, which help to reduce redness.
Ok, this is my last trick. It's an acne- healing facial peel involving one of my previous tricks, the lemon oil (and no, lemon oil cannot be replaced by lemon juice) Gather these items:
-unflavored gelatin
- water
- any carrier oil (try fractionated coconut oil from doTERRA)
- aloe Vera gel
- lemon essential oil
1.in a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the water to a boil and add the gelatin (the amount of water it says on the box for your gelatin). Stir while gelatin dissolves then remove pan from heat.
2.add the oils and aloe vera.
3.pour the mixture into whatever container in which you will keep your facial peel.
4.refrigerate for about 20 minutes, and keep in a cool room, never going hotter than 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
to use, grab some of your mixture and apply all over your face and relax while it dries. When the facial peel is totally dry, peel it off starting at your forehead and peeling down.
Hope my little tip helped, good luck;)

And don't put just any lemon oil on your face, try doTERRA brand, which is a bit more expensive, but I won't irritate your skin.
