If u love lime crime they have a one day sale of 35% off code FBLOVE35 xoxo

Hey girl,
I would encourage you to not buy from Lime Crime. The owner claims to have made all of her own product, yet has simply repackaged from other companies.

Take a few minutes to educate yourself on this scum bag company via this site- http://www.lipsticksandlightsabers.com/2010/01/lime-crime-beneath-glitter.html

it's got really good info in there. Just trying to inform you! thx

I've heard of some controversy from this brand just wondering what it was exactly thanks for posting!!

I've been wondering if she still repackages or not. I know Two Cosmetics (who were at IMATS) are Lady Burd repackagers because I saw Two Cosmetics selling Lady Burd paint wheels and are selling them as eye safe when the paint wheels are not.

oh wow

Yes, this is the same controversy that surrounded B Slap Cosmetics last year. Most products were just repackaged from a wholesale distributor and in addition there were products that were not safe for the eyes.

Yea, Lime Crime is not a good company at all. Shame on her, selling her products at IMATS for the uneducated 14 year olds that go.

So did Two Cosmetics who are Lady Burd repackagers. Worse they were selling the Paint Wheels (sames ones Bitch Slap sells) as eye safe when Lady Burd has stated it's NOT eye safe.

Crazy cuz now the products are sold in stores

Keep in mind, Jasofmine, that cosmetics are not regulated by the US FDA which means that cosmetic companies can get away with a lot of things. Complaints can be made to the Attorney General of the state in which the products are sold but that's basically it.

Oh wow nvr knew that thanks for that info

I'll post on my blog the link to the FDA website that has a list of what products are allowed in cosmetics. Some products are eye safe, some are not. Some are lip safe, some are not. Unfortunately too many companies and people use products that are not safe for one area in cosmetics and sell it as safe. Example, Make Up For Ever Flash Color Case. Now let me just state one thing - they do have a warning label on it but it's people who improperly use it.

Now MUFE actually does state on the label that certain colors are not safe for certain areas but some of the Youtube gurus ignore that warning and do not mention in their video. Take Michelle Phan's candy cane video. She used the MUFE Color Case's Red 017 (bright red) on her eyes despite the fact the label states Do not use following colors near the eyes : 002 - 005 - 017. Do not use following colors on the lips : 003 - 010 - 014. She uses the color case in several videos and uses the colors not meant for the lips on the lips and ones not meant for the eyes on the eyes with no warning.

In that case it's her fault for promoting products not safe but in Two Cosmetics it's them promoting their Paint Wheels as eye safe when Lady Burd states it's not eye safe.

You have to be VERY careful with companies and products promoted by Youtube gurus (especially the popular ones since they're out to make money) because they can get away with it since it's not regulated.

I really like how amarixe actually pointed out that the red colors in her flash color palette were not eyesafe- she let her viewers know the truth! Too bad other gurus can't do that too.
