I'm starting out with makeup. I am dark skinned and I was wondering what kind of makeup (color, etc) would go best with my skin tone. What should I look for. Would liquid eyeliner show best than pencil or gel eyeliner for me? Thank you! :)

Don't use to pink of a lipstick or blush it'll sometimes make your skin look ashy and the lipstick will look kinda kray kray in contrast to your skin.

Honestly, you could use any color on your eyes! In spring, use a coral or more orange toned lipstick, in fall try those gorgeous wine or dark plum colors! They'd be excellent on your gorgeous skin tone. Liquid liner is great for lining the upper lid, gel is better for tight lining and water line. Use gold colors to add a beautiful highlight to your cheekbones.

Yeah, with lipsticks we're better off with dark pinks/fushias, bright pinks can work with the right liner or shade. Like I have MACs Candy Yum Yum which is a bright electric pink but I can only wear it with their Silly or Magenta lipliner. By itself it makes me look crazy.
