Try to put an anti frizz serum in it
Also, make sure that your curls aren't wild curls
Put a bit of hairspray in it to control it
When you wash your hair and put conditioner in it brush it while your in the shower and then when your out put a bit of conditioner in your hands and scrunch your hair up

Definitely put a leave in conditioner first... It can help with frizziness, make it look more natural and protect a bit against the next products I'm going to tell you
If you need it, use a little gel but don't go too crazy.. I dont know where you're from but in the US we have Got2b and its like a glue.. Very popular in the military because it can hold our hair in place..
And end it with hair spray.. Like Sarah said it'll help you control it. I use Tresemme
