It's kind of hard to explain, I would personally just watch videos and keep practicing, it's so hard to get it right. But basically if you go in the mirror and make the "fish face" (I hope you know what I'm talking about lol) and you can see some shaded areas and that's where you want to contour. Highlighting your raised cheek bones will also help elongate your face.

High cheekbones are the best for contouring! Go to jaclynhill1 on YouTube, she has a GREAT video on contouring!

When applying blush don't put the blush on the apples of the cheek it will make your face look rounder! Also use the 3 finger rule -place 3 fingers next to your nose and wherever the last finger stops place the blush there. For contour watch a lot of YouTube videos, read makeup books and practice practice practice!
