Anyone have a dupe for the Velvetines? I'm on a budget, but love the texture and matte look of the Velvetines.

That's a tough dupe to find! lol I have both of the velvetines, and I have yet to find a dupe for them! It turns from a lip gloss to a matte color magically on your lips. I only have to touch up once after eating, otherwise it's on until I take it off. I'd say save up for one! I think they are sold out, but that'll give you time to save up for the next re-stock! It's worth the $15.99! :)

I don't know what colors you are looking for but I love the NYX matte lip creams. Your description sounds like the NYX matte lip creams!! Wet N Wilds mega last liquid lip color come in nice colors BUT the formula is too thick. It's fine when you first apply it but one you drink or anything of the sort you might have to take it completely off and re apply.

The description definitely sounds like Wet n Wild's Megalast Liquid Lip Color. I have to agree with a comment above, the formula for those things are horrible. Becomes super sticky, like if you happen to bring your lips together then open them back up it becomes blotchy. They definitely stay on but taking them off is the worst.

Okay well Monte Carlo in the NYX matte lip cream seems like a mixture of both of those colors. And I prefer the NYX over wet n wild. With the NYX I only retouch once and it's so easy to take off!

I'm surprised no one mentioned this but a dupe for the Limecrime Velvetine in Red Velvet would be ELF Studio Lip Stain in Red Carpet ($3). It looks like a lip gloss, just like the Velvetines, but it dries matte. The only con I have against the ELF product is, it will transfer onto anything your lips may touch but it does act like a stain. And yes, the NYX matte lip creams are another dupe. But these will come off and are not lip stains.

The best dupes for the Lime Crime Velvetines are Sephora Cream Lip Stains ($12). The formula and wear time is exactly the same. They've been around a lot longer than the Lime Crime version. Kat Von D Everlasting Love liquid lipsticks also share the same formula.

So I found these ultra cheap Lime Crime Velvetines Dupes and I'm pretty excites to share. So these(Me Now Generation Long Lasting Lip gloss)are the much raved-about lippies. Each color goes by numbers only which you can find at top of the applicator. The only cons for me is that it has a weird chemical-ish smell and you must try not to rub your lips together after it's dried because it feels tacky and sticky each time you do that but the good thing is it doesn't blotch at all. Other than that, I'm loving these as most of the colors are very pigmented and they're affordable. I like the fact that they dry completely matte after a few minutes and the doe-foot applicator makes it so easy to apply on the lips. For me, after food and drinks, it only needs one time application throughout the entire day. It's very long lasting, smudge proof, transfer proof and waterproof. I'm absolutely obsessed with them. If you guys love Lime Crime products (the Velvetines) and can't get your hands on them;I'll let you know that #18 looks exactly like Cashmere, #33 looks exactly like wicked and #09/#28 looks exactly like Suedeberry, trust me on this one. There are also other colors that are like the Velvetines duplicates(I don't mean the quality though, just color) but you got to explore them on your own or look at the youtube video reviews for a clearer picture of these lippies. Do take note that you will need oil-based make up remover to remove them. You can get them mostly on EBay, selling at USD1-3 each. I'm serious it's that cheap and the pay off for the value is crazy good. Give it a try😘
