My acne is really bad! I never had any as a teenager. Does anyone know of some products that I can cover it up and won't make it worse?? I have been using proactiv for about 4 months hasnt done much justice. I also change my pillow cases weekly!

Proactive is crap, I mean if they sell it in a vending machine you know it's crap. I have acne prone skin as well honestly if you want acne medicine type foundation I'd say stick with Clinique but if you're worried about coverage urban decay naked skin is great for coverage bc it's a buildable foundation and the finish is so light. I love it!

Cover fx is great for acne prone skin. You can get the mineral line as mineral makeup is a lot gentler on the skin. Great full coverage too. They also offer a anti acne foundation primer that my sister uses daily and worked wonders on her skin. And I agree with lyndsey, proactive is horrendous. One of those products that your skin hates, or if it works, your skin is dependent on it. One of the best things I've ever invested in for my acne prone skin is a clarisonic micro scrubber. YouTube reviews on it for more info. Made hell of a difference. I exfoliate cleanse tone moisturize and treat. And my skin is completely clear now. A good acne treatment I recommend is boscia willowbark breakout treatment. And if you're purely looking for a foundation to coverup, full coverage a great full coverage one is Estée Lauder double wear; literally one of the worlds best foundation. Completely flawless and can cover about anything. However some people's skin can be sensitive to it so I reccomend you grabbing a sample to try it out since its quite expensive. But cover fx is definitely sensitive friendly.

Go to ulta or Walmart and get yourself some talc free mineral makeup from physicians formula!! You might be allergic to talc which is found in most beauty products. Nothing but removing that key ingredient from my routine helped me with my severe cystic acne. I also suggest a clarisonic or a makeup removing brush to scrub your face with. I use Burt's bees cleanser. As a toner I use one part acv, 2 pts witch hazel, 4 pts water. Twice daily. Buy Mario badecus drying creme (14$ @ ulta) and be sure to resist against using blush/bronzing products they are killer for acne! Good luck!:)

I had awful acne and was on rx cream and wash. I found out they sell a similar product over the counter. It's called panoxyl they have two strengths but I always use the 10%. If you need a spot treatment they have benzoyl peroxide creams ( clean and clear).

I second the physicians formula! Excellent for sensitive acne prone skin.

I think you should try out loreal go 360 anti breakout cleanser. I had bad acne for about 3 years. I decided to try out that cleanser and it worked!! I've had it since January and I just ran out. I bought it at Walmart for about $5. really inexpensive and it lasts

I'd say as far as foundation goes go with Clinique or something organic. I use Clinique, and I have very sensitive/acne prone/dry skin and I've never used a better foundation. They make different ones for just about every age group, skin type, and skin concern (including acne prone). Or if you'd rather go the natural route Physicians Formula is good, Tarte makes natural products as well, and so does Origins.
As for the acne treatments itself you need something that will treat without drying your skin. Try using Juara Blemish Mask once or twice a week. You should also use a spot treatment. I think Alba and Burt's Bee have the best ST's. Try getting a deep cleansing cleanser. Maybe even go get a Clairsonic? If that's a little too pricey Origins makes great products, and they won't irritate your skin. Get a moisturizer that hydrates well, but doesn't clog pores (I recommend Make A Difference Plus+ CREAM by Origins). Hope that gives you some ideas. :)
