I've had two modeling companies have interest in me but they want A LOT of money. how can I get noticed by photographers? I'm 5' 9 long brown hair and blue eyes.

If you have a friend into photography you can have them take photos of you and there are many sites you can post your pictures on.

They are not an agency if they want your money. They are a scam. If you really wanna model for a big company you need to go to open call in their agency headquarters. Look up places like Ford, Wilhemina, elite model management, etc, and either go to an open call, or apply on their online website. Professional headshots not required of preferred. They will normally ask for 4 different shots of you. Wear very little makeup, or even none. That is the best way to go into an agency. There are smaller agencies around the world, that are reputable, but you have to do your research into them. Never will someone who is supposed to represent you charge you for anything. They should cover it all. Now if you just wanna model, there are online websites you can use. Try Modelmayhem.com. you network yourself, find your own photographers, set up your own shoots. it is no guarantee you will make any money. You can, but most likely you will not until you have become established, with enough experience. You will probably do what is call trade for... which can be trade for pictures, trade for clothes, trade for any negotiable thing you and the photographer can agree on. Good luck!

Oh also if you are serious about wanting it, read newmodels.com. it will help a ton with the realities of the modeling industry. It can be hard to hear though.
