I have tried the spoon method the slight small strokes method. I have used cream eyeliner, pencil eyeliner, and liquid. What usually happens it looks like I have drawn a check mark on the side of my face lol. Then I have to wipe off my entire eye and start from scratch including eyeshadow. do you know how long it takes to blend eyeshadow to make both eyes look similar @_@?!?!?! LOL I am just a tad bit frustrated. I would post pics of the horror but I do not want to scare anybody. Does anyone have any tricks on perfecting wing eyeliner.

Take sticky notes and place them along the area you would like to wing your liner. Trace along and take them off; perfect winged liner! :) they're gentler than tape so it's even better!

Felt tip eyeliners will help you! I use Maybelline's masterprecise. It helped me, and now I'm moving up to liquid eyeliners! Whooo! lol.

Try to wing it so that it follows the natural shape of your eye. Where ever the bottom of your eye meets the top, follow that natural line upward and just draw a little triangle. Afterwards, very lightly line the rest of your eye. Michelle Phan has a video on her YouTube for explaining that method better and offers other methods as well.

I agree with Jamie T.! Felt tip eyeliners are so simple to use it's ridiculous! It's just like taking a pen and drawing on your face. It makes the cat eye soo much simpler to do! I suggest trying that before you get too frustrated.

Same here. I have been watching YouTube videos and practicing a lot. I always mess up the point. All these suggestions are great!

Tape can help. Also felt tip liners are a lot easier for beginners. Check out YT as well.

Also, try using a liquid eyeliner pencil...it gives you more control of the wing. and honestly, it takes time to perfect your wing. I got so upset, I almost cried cause it was so difficult. I practiced it so much, with different techniques and I can finally achieve it. look at YouTube videos, they are so helpful!!

Also, try using a pencil brush that is Angeled. this helps with the preciseness.
