A maxi skirt or dress is usually a statement. I don't know if people at your school wear them much, but if they don't you'll definitely get compliments. Plus, they're so comfy.

When I was in high school (the short time I was) I wore a dress one day (I always wore jeans n hoodies) with a pair of heels and my hair n makeup done nice. everyone was complimenting me all day n the guys went crazy.
