I use olive oil as waterproof makeup remover. Drink a ton of water. I also eat LOTS of veggies. Working out and staying healthy are pretty much a given. I also exfoliate once a week to keep my skin from looking dull. Genetics also helps as my mom has really great skin, she actually aged fast because of health issues she got (like depression and diabetes) hence why staying happy and eating right are sooo essential. My mom would look half her age of 52 if she perhaps would have picked up these habits earlier on as like I said her skin is pretty much amazing. I am also conscious about how many oily foods I consume. I think dairy is ok (I consume dairy) as long as I don't throw in greasy foods. I do not eat fast food, and I make all of my food from scratch. I don't drink soda, and I don't drink ANY juices that aren't 100 % natural. I don't consume anything with a load of sugar either. Sleeping and being very well rested and also. If you are heavily into makeup like me, give your skin some off days and always wear primer (it is a barrier between your skin and your makeup)... I went on a rant. But yeah I think we all agree, happy healthy girls are the prettiest!!

Be mindful of your sun exposure! Always have SPF, sunglasses, a hat, etc. It's one thing to have incidental exposure, work in the yard, or play outside. And it's another thing to bake pool/surf side for hours.

Lots of sunscreen, always wash your face before going to bed. Also I think that a healthy diet makes you look better. And stay hydrated. I think the best beauty secret is to love yourself the way you are. Happiness and confidence are beautiful.

I mix vit c powder with purified water in a dark glass vial (it will keep a week in refrigerator) and apply w/ cotton ball in morning before moisturizing and sunblock ( now I will add glycerin!) - at night I apply Reti A. I'm 37.

I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet. Make sure to either mix your glycerin with some water and spray it on or have some water on you're face before applying - because glycerin is a humectant it helps water get into the skin, but if there is no water it can take water out of the skin and dry you out. I use it with water or rose water as a toning/refreshing mix after cleansing.

Look into Dr Haushka products. The only line of skin care I've ever found that actually delivers MORE than what they promised!

@Gabriella! My hands look older too, but I thnk that its strictly genetics as my mom and sister do as well (my sis and I have different fathers) but I am Hispanic too. I know for me a lot of my skincare comes from my mom. She is rather meticulous about what she puts on her face, and she is Dominican and old school so she isn't huge on makeup which is prolly why I rather splurge on really good makeup than just throw anything on my face as well. I didn't find the glycerin at Walmart but I will keep looking!

I think these are great tips. One thing all you ladies need to remember. The more melanin your skin has, the SLOWER YOU AGE. So it is also genes that play a big role in why both women look very young. FYI. I wouldn't just slap a product on my skin without reading reviews on specific skin TYPES. we are all made different. It might help them out but it could cause problem with your skin!

I agree Sara, I always tease my friends who have darker skin than me that their skin looks "like butta"... but still Gabriela and her sister look ages apart and so it leaves me hopeful and I am givin it a try :)
