My friend had the same problem. It's actually called a hooded lid. You should google hooded lid eyeshadow and they have a ton of ideas!

You have a hooded eye but don't be discouraged you can still pull off any look you want just have to do it a little differently...a quick tip would be to line your eye less thick at top that way w.e part of your lid that does show isnt taken up by liner...honestly I wouldn't line the entire top lid just the outer half and because your eye is hooded don't take your wing so far up...instead kind of drag it down...also don't be afraid to try color :) dark brown eyes rock...

ps...youtube will become your best friend I know you will find anything you need...good luck hun :)
