NO NO NO!! As a 32 year old with 10 tattoos- I am a grown up now- a professional person- and I REGRET all tattoos that are visible. If you can cover it with a business suit- DON't DO IT!! You simply cannot know who you will become or where you will be in 10 years. PLUS it will look like SH%T in a few years!!

*if you cannot cover it for professional purposes don't do it.

Ps MOST PEOPLE WHO GET TATTOOS ARE BORED WITH THEMSELVES- study harder, get a hobby, get a job, volunteer...don't permanently ink yourself because eventually you'll be bored with that too.

Excuse you for the rudeness Julie, I'm one of those people but I don't do it because I'm "bored" with myself. you can't judge everyone because they have tattoos and put us all in a stereotype. I bust my ass in school even though I only go part time, I'm a stay at home mom to two beautiful children the rest of the time, while their tattooed father busts his ass at work to provide for his family. what you said did not offend me, because I know I'm not the stereotype person youre describing, and you can't be offended by ignorance. I really hope you find peace with yourself so you don't have to bash others anymore :)

Ask a professional tattoo artist. You have to think what is going to look good in 15 years. Hand, wrist and foot tattoos fade and blur the fastest. A good artist is one who is brutally honest and thinks about how his/her work will stand the test of time.

I'm all for tattoos with meanings. I'm fully covered in tattoos except where my scrubs don't cover. I have a few small ones but nothing huge so not very drastic. if you get it be prepared to cover if you go to job interviews. people out there like to judge. I'm glad a have a good permanent job. also I would suggest staying away front hand tattoos because like disorder said they fade because you never stop using your hands so they don't heal as good.

Btw I love my tattoos and am not bored with my self. I have a full time job and a mother of 2. there is no time to be bored. I started getting them when I had 2 jobs and went to school with 2 small kids.

Well said nichole and ezarra. I'm 26 and hav 9 tattoos. they are visable 80% of the time. I have done very well career wise and hav not been judged by anyone. 4 years ago I went for an interview for apprentice horticultural gardener of the year. my dad old me to cover my tattoos as I'd never win with them showing as its "not professional." I went with them on show. I won. out of 130 people all across britain. I studied for a diploma last year while workin 7days a week. I am not bored. do not judge others by your mistakes. people are givin good advice to this girl about the fact itll fade etc.no need to pass judgement on others. rant over. haaha.
