I have both of mine done and the only time it hurt was when they put the jewellery through - they were quite rough as it was a trainee who did it. Personally it was two seconds of pain for me

I have both of mine done and for me it was like any other piercing - a pinch and a burn - but a little more intense. I had a very good piercer though, and the piercings healed great. They're actually the only piercings I left in. I had my lobes each done and I had two in my cartilage but I took them all out because they weren't comfortable. I always forget I even have my tragus piercings. My advice if you get them done is to leave them alone. Don't use any alcohol or anti bacterial cleansers. My piercer told me to leave my piercings alone and let them heal on their own and it worked. I had used all kinds of cleansers on my cartilage and it was the worst ever. They were always infected and painful. I didn't do a thing with my tragus piercings except rinse them under the water when I showered and I have had no discomfort or infections the whole time I've had them.
