It seems like a lot of brands has now a line of foundations called BB. At first I thought it was just a new Maybelline foundation, but then I started to see other brands with BB foundations. I wonder what does BB mean and why is it different (someone say better) from the other foundations?

They're more like glorified tinted moisturizers.

BB stands for "Beauty Balm." It's basically like a tinted moisturizer with more coverage I think. At least the American versions are. If you really want a good BB cream, go online and get an Asian one! They're so much better.

Beauty Balm...I wouldn't really call it a foundation... it is more of a tinted moisturizer and corrector...The asian versions are much more like foundation than the drugstore versions here. They are essentially supposed to eliminate steps in your beauty routine and most are supposed to do 5 things in one...moisturize, color correct, sunscreen, and brighten skin tone, etc...I have tried a bunch of them and a lot of them do not live up to the hype...I really like the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream and the Lioele BB Cream! I have a bunch of bb cream reviews on my blog mushynanners620.blogspot.com.
