If you go on Pinterest and search for eye make up tutorials, they show you step by step photos, so you can see where they lay the shadow. I hope this helps.

The first think to know about eye makeup is primer- Too Faced and Urban Decay make great ones. The best way to learn is to look at tutorials and then just play with your makeup and see what works for you... Practice makes perfect :)

I have a hard time with layering and blending eyeshadow as well. I turn on YouTube tutorials while I do my makeup and use pictutorials but it never looks right and it always ends up looking caked on and messy. I just stick to smoking out my lash line.
