I dyed my hair a pitch black color on April 4th, and I need to re-dye it this color before May 11th. Would May 10th be too early to dye it again?

You should really wait, because you'll damage the heck out if your hair but it won't be as bad the longer you wait. If its not necessary, you should wait at least two months, preferably three. (So like June-ish)

Your not going to get your hair that color. It's very hard to take out black unless you bleach it but it will damage it to no end.

I had long dyed blue-black hair for 6 years and got it out by bleaching it twice in two days with 40 volume bleach and then dying it the shade of red I wanted at the time, and all I had to end up doing was cut a bit of the ends off and it was hardly noticeable, so you should be okay. I am by no means suggesting doing anything like that (I know I'd never do that again, I just got incredibly lucky that time I think), but over a month it should be okay. Just take really good care of it during the process. Like, don't wash it often, use a repairing hair mask, cut down on heat styling, use coconut oil, etc.  :)
